No passport for me!
I know I’m supposed to posting insightful things about my LIS 2600 class, but I have to bitch and moan about life in general today. Have you ever had one of those days where everything that could possibly go wrong, goes wrong? Well, that is my day today. Let’s not even mention how behind I am on my work or the fact that I may not have a place to live in a month. Those are the least of my worries.
I forgot to renew my passport which expired last month. I’m supposed to be leaving for Ireland in 2 weeks. The thing about living in a tropical paradise is everything moves at the rate of -2 miles per hour. If I were any other place renewing a passport, it would only be a matter of days if you pay extra. Here you still pay extra, but it’s going to take up to 3 weeks if I’m lucky. I can’t do anything but wait and keep my fingers crossed. I just want to cry!

I'd hop on the first plane to Washington DC and get one right from the source (that or I could sell you one if you're willing to change your name to Carlos and learn to speak spanish). My best friend, and worlds greatest procrastinator, waited until the week before he was to go to London to get his. I tagged along and got mine also, even though I didn't need it for another 3 months, and avoided the huge "rush fee."
